Delhi HC Issues Notice On NIA’s Plea Seeking Death Penalty For Yasin Malik In Terror Funding Case

Delhi High Court on Monday issued notice to Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JLF) chief Yasin Malik on National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) plea seeking death penalty for the separatist leader.

Delhi High Court issues production warrant for Yasin Malik to be present before the Court on the next date of hearing on Aug 9, 2023.

He was awarded a life term by a trial court in a terror funding case last year.
NIA had asserted in its plea that not giving capital punishment to such a “dreaded terrorist” will result in the miscarriage of justice.
